Chateau Vaudreuil wedding: Jenna & Danny

Double-header Weekend, Part 2: Chateau Vaudreuil

Weddings from the Vault

For today's From The Archives wedding, we're going to go back to August 2014 to revisit Jenna and Danny's wedding at Chateau Vaudreuil.  This was the second of two weddings I covered that weekend (you can take a look at the first one here).  I don't get too many back-to-back weddings, but they do happen from time to time over long weekends.

Cloudy With a Chance of More Clouds

The weather wasn't quite as pleasant for this Sunday wedding as it was for the day before, as it was overcast the entire time and a bit on the windy side.  The wind made for a challenging family portrait session as hair kept blowing around, but it wasn't the greatest challenge I've faced and we were able to work around it quite well.  On the flip side, having cloud cover can actually work in your favour when you're shooting at a place like Chateau Vaudreuil that has great scenery in any direction.  No matter which way you're facing, you don't have to worry about the sun shining in anyone's face or directly into the camera.  Once the wind died down, things actually went pretty smoothly.  As I was going over the photos today, I was impressed with how many good shots we got of the couple.  Usually we simply don't have enough time to take many shots.  That's one of the advantages of having the entire day take place at one location: plenty of time!
