You’re excited about your wedding but you’re also somewhere between mildly uncomfortable and absolutely terrified about having to be on camera. Am I close?

You’re not alone! This is something most couples go through. You’re going to spend the next 6 to 18 months stressing out about finances, flowers, dresses and guest lists. Then, once everything is in place, you have to spend the whole day being photographed. What do you do? Do you smile? What do you do with your hands? Just the thought of it is enough to make people nervous.

Here’s the thing about looking good in photos: being photogenic has much less to do with your physical appearance than people think. It’s about your state of mind. People look good in photos when they feel photogenic. It’s just a question of confidence. With the right guide, you can look as effortlessly relaxed on camera as a professional model!

I can help you with that look of confidence, and it’s going to take a lot less time than you think. I’ve had more than one person tell me at the end of an engagement session that they really weren’t looking forward to the shoot but ended up having a great time. Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the questions that come up the most.

  • Packages start at $2100 for a 6-hour day and go up to $4700. You can find more info on the Pricing page.

  • I do work with several talented videographers and am more than happy to recommend one to you. There’s also the option of our hybrid video coverage if you’re interested in having some video but don’t want to hire a separate videographer.

  • I can travel to shoot anywhere in Canada. The price will vary depending on the location. I’m more than happy to provide you with a custom quote.

    I don’t shoot international weddings for one simple reason: you need a work visa to work in another country.

    If you’re getting married internationally, I strongly encourage you to hire someone local. The last thing you want is your photographer calling you from the airport 2 days before your wedding to tell you that customs refused to allow them into the country!

  • I consider my style to be documentary/candid/photojournalist. I see a wedding as an event, so my job is to document the event as it would have unfolded even if I weren’t there.

    That doesn’t mean that I’m completely hands-off, though. When it comes to the portrait session, I make sure all the friends and relatives are where they need to be, when they need to be there. They say a photo is worth 1000 words, though, so it’s best if you take a look at my work at decide if my style is yours as well!

  • I’m always the main photographer at the wedding. I do have some associates who could fill in for me if I get sick or injured at the last minute (it’s never happened, but I like to have a backup plan in place).

  • I’ll put together a web gallery of the photos so you’ll be able to see them a few days after the wedding. If there is no proof album included in your package, the photos can be in your hands within 2-3 weeks.
